I'm posting a meme I got from a friend. Why are these things so irresistable to do?
1. Do you like blue cheese? Love it. I make a great bacon-blue cheese hamburger, and blue cheese dressing is my favorite.
2. Have you ever smoked? Tobacco, I assume is meant here? If so, I've had exactly two cigarettes, and those only partially, because I hated it. The first was when I was 15 or 16, just because. Back then, I'd try anything once. Hated it, so never became a smoker. Which is good, since I have enough health issues. The second cigarette was in college. I had to pull an all-nighter, and someone said a cigarette would help. It did. I was buzzed. And I aced the test.
3. Do you own a gun? Two shotguns. We have poisonous snakes and other wildlife around here. But no, I've never had to actually use one of them yet.
4. What is your favourite flavour? So, so easy. Chocolate.
5. Do you get nervous before Doctor visits? No. I don't get nervous before dentist visits, either.
6. What do you think of hot dogs? Nutritionally, OMG, I'm horrified. But a few times a year I get a craving for them. Hot dogs with cheese.
7. Favourite Christmas Movie? "Scrooged" edges just ahead of "Die Hard". I used to be sentimental, but I outgrew that. I do still have a fondness for George C. Scott's Scrooge.
8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Tea, preferably Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast, or Earl Grey, hot, with a little sugar.
9. Do you do push-ups? (Trel, what's a "plank"?) Yes, I can. Not a lot, but some. Not the girlie ones - weird, but I find the normal ones easier to do.
10. What’s your favourite piece of jewelry? A pair of three-metal (gold, silver, copper) dangling earrings, with dolphins. A long ago Christmas present from my roomie. I would have said my leaf brooch from "The Lord of the Rings", but I never wear that.
11. Favourite hobby? I like your answer, Trel. Learning and daydreaming. Also reading and watching movies/TV series. Writing is not a hobby.
12. Do you have A.D.D? Nope. I'm not a demigod, either.
13. What’s the one thing you hate about yourself? My mad need for instant gratification.

15. Name three thoughts right now? As we speak here: 1) I should be writing, 2) looking forward to playing Wizard 101, and 3) how happy I am that my friend Trellia was able to come back to LJ, even if only briefly.

18. Current hate right now? The political scene on the Internet, which is full of a total lack of logic or perspective, irrational hatreds, racism, cruelty, and stupidity.
19. Favourite place to be? In front of my computer when writing a story. Otherwise, in a wood or a park - any place that's green and quiet.
20. How do you ring in the New Year? I don't bother.
21. Where would you like to go? Ireland, all of America's national parks, Canada, Universal Orlando

23. Do you own slippers? I have animals. I love going barefoot, but I live in slippers.

25. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets? Nope. Give me crisp, cool percale, any day.
26. Can you whistle? Yes, as in, whistle a tune. I never was able to master that loud, piercing whistle that people do with their fingers in their mouths.

28. Would you be a pirate? No. I like a comfortable life, free from danger, bloodshed, and law breaking.
29. What songs do you sing in the shower? I don't sing in the shower. But if I did, what I would sing would now be called "oldies".
30. Favourite girls name? I don't have a favorite.
31. Favourite boys name? Again, no favorite.
32. What’s in your pocket right now? Lint
33. Last person that made you laugh? Michael Hurst as Iolaus.
34. Best toy as a child? If you don't count books and comic books, then my collection of glass animals.
35. Worst injury? Fell off a horse and broke my back.
36. Where would you love to live? The South Downs of England. I can't give a logical reason, but that is my "spiritual home".
37. How many TVs do you have in your house? Three. One for me in my den, one for my roomie in her bedroom, and a big one in the livingroom.
38. Who is your loudest friend? I'm usually the loudest person in the room. My only competition is Pam, who says we don't have "inside" voices.
39. How many dogs do you have? Two, a German shepherd and a dachshund. My roomie owns a German shepherd, my dog's sister.
40. Does someone trust you? I'd like to say that everyone does. If I can't be trusted, I say so. (Don't lend me money or books.) But reality probably is that only 4 or 5 people actually trust me.
41. What is your favourite movie? Out of dozens and dozens which I want to name to my top 10, if I have to choose just one, then it's "Star Wars". The original one.
42. What’s your favourite sweet? Chocolate. Cheesecake is in second place.
43. What’s your favourite sports team? The Washington Redskins
44. What song do you want played at your funeral? I don't want a funeral. Throw a party if you want to remember me. Play "Born to be Wild" or something like that.
