Hey guys, I'm alive. Have pictures but I don't feel like figuring out how to upload them all right now, sorry.
Things are really up and down right now. My appartment is really spacious! I could have guests no problem. But it's relatively out in the middle of nowhere. It's sad, I don't even have a convenience store to walk to. But I have a car so I can get to a small department store for food and necessities. Shitty book/videogame section though. But I might find something better in Toba. Nagoya turns to be 27 bucks one way from my place. OUCH. I think that'll have to be a once a month thing. I'm going to training on tuesday and it ends at around 5:30 so that gives me enough time to sneak to Animate and Mandaraki in Nagoya before I have to head back... Oh well. If I get stuck there at least I know of a hotel I can get to easily since it's the one I spent my first night at.
Cell phone and bank account are still a no-go. They demand your alien reg. card but then they won't give me one until the 2nd week of september! So I have to ride my Visa really hard and save my cash for places that won't accept credit cards. Worse still I haven't found an ATM around that'll take my debit card. I don't have much in there, but if it's an emergency it would be good to have access to it. I managed to get this piece of paper so with that I can PROBABLY get my account open. But the soonest my coordiator can help me with that is wednesday so I can feel my accounts strangling me already. My bank draft won't go through until at least 3 weeks after I deposit is, I'm not paid until the end of September. But the grocery store takes my visa so at least I have shelter and food. And internet. So no dying. Yay.
