What a weird dream I had last night too, or was it the night before last.
I was in one of the familiar hallways in Sing Sing, only it was a bit different. The hall ended in a small corner and I was sitting on a bench next to a small white and black dragon. I was a lot younger in this dream too, a small child.
Anyway, all the lights in the place suddenly went out and left the hall pitch black. It shocked me and got me scared and was just starting to cry out when this dragon picked me up and quickly flew down the hall with me its arms. (also I was always freaked out by power outs as a kid) Well, I hugged myself close to its neck as it brought me down the hall and up a few stairs, taking me away from whatever was in he dark.
Right when it got to the top of the stairs the lights in the hall came back on...
...And I was immediately awaken to the sound of the fishtank filter gurgling back on... and i saw that the clock was blinking. there WAS a power out. But there was no possible outside influence from it when it happened to cause this dream....
Anyway, in this dream, I really felt protected when I held onto this dragon. Like it was saving me from being alone and scared in the dark. saving me from something in the dark.
I told Eld this and she said I may just have a dragon looking out for me.
Ideas flooded into my head after I woke up, and I combined them into a short story of a scene that might take place in a game or something. That first dream scene along with after said person wakes up.
"...And for that moment in my dream, that dragon felt like a protector or friend, saving me from something evil lurking in the darkness while I was crying and alone.
I was awaken then by the sound of the fishtank filter on the other side of the room buzzing back to life as the power came back on. Water flowing back into it with a loud gurgling sound that faded away shortly.
The clock next to me blinked 12:00 in large green digits that shone faintly on the dark walls, creating a soft glow.
I heard the distant roaring sounds of a train engine that sounded many miles away, but still could be heard. It's engines revving up as it pulled away from whatever station it was at
And also the wind, which was blowing powerfully outside, blowing over nearby trash cans and loose trees branching. roaring so loud and fiercely that at some moments it sounded like that dragon from my dream had run into that something in the dark.
Hopefully the dragon was winning.
It took me a few moments of laying there to get my mind together, then I thought I could sense something outside, perhaps beyond the trees...maybe farther. But that was impossible... It couldn't happen here
Then I heard a distant screech that seemed to come from inside my head even.
Quickly I got my guncase from under the lamp table and fumbled with the lock before finally getting it open and taking out my .45 and the only two clips I had. Not that they would do much good.
*sound of clip sliding and locking*
Here I was in the darkness again, this time without my dragon.
*hammer cocks*
hmm...how Max Payne-ish... ;/ lemme continue
"I got outside and closed the door behind me only to have the wind stop and the light grow darker.
In the faint light, though, I could make out the dull forms of trees colored crimson as if they were painted with blood.
The screecing grew louder now.."
Won't make much sense to anyone, but it may turn out to be a scene from my upcoming silent hill demolisher ;p and blast it, no info here, ask me on AIM.
and now the short short version. The dragon dream was real, and weird. But the whole waking up and so forth thing was somehow inspired by things that really WERE going on when i woke up (the fishtank, the clock, the wind, so on)
