Today was so shocking at work. I still wonder whats going on there even now...

Today at around 1:30 all the inmates had to leave the Commissary and go back to their cells for lock up. Someone had called a code blue. A REAL code blue, meaning someone or something is missing.

Us civilian workers had to sit around the Commissary for a while, like an hour, before we started hearing stories about this thing going on for a while...and NO one can leave while the code is in effect...

A bit later yet, we heard that an inmate possibly escaped using a CO officers uniform and fake ID. Crazy...

Things got serious and they did this big search and investigation of all the inmates. Apparently there WAS an escape because even hours later, the code blue was still in effect and we couldn't leave.

At four though, we left the commisary and went to go wait in the line up room with everyone else.

It was an interesting sight. Looking through the windows I could see the gaurds in the towers with rifles, and helicopters flying around the area.

Finally after an hour of waiting there, they let all the civilians go. I got about 45 minutes of ETE time though, so it's all cool. ersonally, i wouldn't have complained if i had to be there till 8 at night!more time earned and overtime.

It was such an odd sight, walking away from this scene at the prison. Helicopters flew overhead while sirens and whistles went off, Cops all over, gaurds with Rifles in the towers.

It was almost reminiscent of a videogame or something. It was felt strange, even if it didn't involve me at all.

And tomorrow's another day... *grins*
