went ahead and splurged some $300 the other day to get a new PS2 to replace the one I sold almost a year back. that alone was like $210. I had sold all my games except for Half-Life so I picked up Red Faction 2 and a memory card.
Wow...Red Faction 2 is soooo awesome! I love it! next I might get Nightfire or Wipeout fusion. I can't wait till Silent Hill 3 hits stores. I'm just so appy to have PS2 back. Probably get an X-Box as well.
The way I see it, i'm gonna save a bit now and just get a whole ton of stuff. Like that Laptop, camcorder and Digi-cam. Might as well enjoy it while I can, especially since it's long overdue.
Most kids just have their parents buy them everything and spoil them rotten. "Mom I crashed up that new car you bought me so I need another one.." Alright son, here you go, 50 grand.
The thing with having everything just handed to you, is that you'll never appreciate as much as working hard to get it.
Well, anyway...yesterday was a damn boring day at work. Commissary is closed on Fridays, so me and the new hire went over to Church street's business office to help with filing and so on.
We were SUPPOSED to learn how to do "boxes", meaning, filing all the hundreds of used buy sheets the inmates had used, and were sent over. Have to file them in chronological order and box them to be filed for three years. Stacy was supposd to show us that, but ended up showing the new hire only. She doesn't like me, just as much as I don't like her.
Personally I think filing that kind of thing is useless anyway. What importance do Used buy sheets have??
First half of the day consisted of folding papers for check attachments. Folding over 70,000 papers.... Yep, took about 3 hours. Fold a sheet, fold another sheet, and another, and another... Don't they have a machine for that???? I mean...they have machines to split an atom, using nuclear fusion...but they don't have anything to fold paper...and they have sonic vibration technology in a toothbrush...
Well, the second half of the day consisted of filing well over 50,000 mixed up, upside down, and backwards sheet and booklets in numerical order, THEN finding where they go in some drawer. God...I preferred the folding...
That got so tedious and monotonous, I damn near went mad. If anyone has to go through this all day EVERY day, for years straight, no WONDER they flip out and blow the building up. I was tempted to do that after 3 hours!
All this paper!, Paper here and paper there! paper paper paper!! filing and numbering. *falls over* I'm not going there again...
