The other day Richard received a letter from unemployment that said that by starting the 20th, he'd be getting compensation of $227 before taxes. It'll come out to around $180 a week after taxes.
The good news is that he'll be able to accumulate enough money from that to pay off his car. The bad news is that he won't be able to pay anything else off, which means I'm still stressed for money. My mom ended up giving me $100 the other day. I really didn't want her to, but I am thankful that we have food for the next two weeks.
Out of all the jobs Richard has been applying to, he's only had two interviews. One for a hotel and one for the Best Buy Geek Squad. The hotel never called him back and Greek Squad said he didn't have enough sales experience to be a part of their team. Bull shit. He's probably more qualified than half the ppl that already work for them. Assholes.
Tempforce hasn't been able to find anything for Richard yet. I'm really annoyed about that, but it's not their fault; they're trying the best they can. They get tons of ppl coming in every day not being able to search for a job because THE ECONOMY IS SUCKING BALLS.
Speaking of which, I find it a bit amusing that the gas prices are going way down as the new election approaches. Coincidence? Maybe.....or maybe not.
