The irony here is that I posted a few days ago to the wrong journal, then erased it and forgot to save. Yeah, life is kinda like that.
Anyways... I got the chance to travel to Las Vegas NV about a month ago. It was interesting, but honsetly, I wasn't impressed. It's big, gaudy, and full of porn and advertisements, but... it's all so synthetic. It's

I do know that I went on the journey with you, and I was there with you for nearly every moment of this semester. I saw how frustrated you got with your three art classes. I witnessed your deep resentment of your painting class, I watched as you cursed my computer for being substandard as your deadline in your digital arts class dew nearer. You pulled through this semester, and while it may not have been fun, it certainly was an interesting ride.
As your academic career continues, I want to advise you not to judge your art classes in the moment. You took some valuable experience points out of all of those classes; even if you don't think you did. The big thing is that you realized-- in a very big way-- where your weeknesses were. We can only improve upon them. You tried new things, and though you claim to have hated them, you have new knowledge of the field. Maybe you'll be willing to seriously take it up after a few years. Yes, it's difficult. Yes, it's time consuming. Yes, it tends to be a little bit hazordous. But one factor of this year, I think, prevented you from exploring the full potential of the painting class, and that was your overall time restriction. This is why I wish that we were on equal levels as far as classes are concerned.
As for your teachers as individuals... well, they're doing they're job. They're teaching you what they've experienced in art. They're trying to help you refine your technique especially. You have this view of what you want your art to look like. You know where your weaknesses are. You know what you have to do to improve upon those. I will tell you again that you get nowhere in drawing by skulking about, and envying everyone's drawings. While you may say that you have your own technique, you're quite obviously unhappy with it. Now, it would be quite hogwash to say that you haven't improved at all; you have. And it's quite apparent when you tab through your furaffinity gallery. Most of your improvement has come through your own self-practice. But instructors are valuable little caches of knowledge.
I wish that I could sit there and create with you, because I think that, in art, people learn much better when they are with someone they care about. I know this to be true, because you have taught me quite a bit about art, and techniques, I tried new things that I was intimidated by.
I really can't thank you enough for being there for me this semester, even through all of your trying times. It's amazing that you can find the time to still devote to the people around you with all of the work that you have to accomplish. I think I can speak for everyone in your life when I say that I don't have enough gratitude to thank you for all that you've done.
I love you so much bunny. And I'm so happy to be your mate.
