No stitch boxes

Oct 13, 2011 07:50

I want to put this here, so I can copy and paste it the next time someone goes "no stitch what help help" at me.

"No stitch" means to do nothing. Literally, nothing.

It's like this: you can say

"k3, yo, k5, yo, k4, k3, ssk, k4,"
or
"K3, yo, k5, yo, k4. Then k3, ssk, k4."

The "no stitch" box on the chart means the same thing as the "then"---it's just something the pattern writer inserted to make the pattern prettier or easier to read, not an instruction.
