The days are incredibly beautiful over here right now- too bad it's usually short lived! I am enjoying looking out my window today though at the golden sunset on the fallen yellow leaves. It would be a sin not to take a few pics ;)
Although college continues to be stressful in more ways than one, I am doing my best and am content with that. I do have a feeling at least that I am supposed to be in college at this time in my life...hopefully the feeling is accurate. It reminds me in Humanities class we are studying a philosopher named Marcus Aurelius, who is one of the great thinkers who assumed that everything happens for a reason- that everything is pre- planned. I don't know if I really believe that though, because it sure seems that I have to choose every single decision in my life at least these days. No answers are coming, I have to create them. I think I do believe what other philosophers claim- that our futures will be the result of what we ourselves chose in the present.
Speaking of choice: James Blunt's newest video Same Mistake came around. It's a tragedy when you love a song to death, but dislike the video. James could have done a much better video for such a beautiful song. Pretty disappointed. All he does is walk around a town all day and at night kiss a bunch of women. The video starts and ends with him in bed with a woman.
James is a sexaholic (I believe that is what it's called?) though. He admits he does not like to sleep alone on any night and loves sex in general. (So I guess he ruins the stereotype of the English being cold in sexual matters eh? :p) He even admitted he was in a recent Rolling Stones mag article- so I found it amusing he would show that side of himself in one of his most sensitive songs to date. I get the message though, he's basically admitting his life choices are putting him in some repititive rut, although he does appear to enjoy the repitition of sex of course with the women lol. Idk the video could have been better that's all. Maybe he'll have two versions of the video like he did in his High videos.
Oh I did a friends cut, including a few communities. If people and communities just refuse to update, then a cut is going to happen. It's sad though a lot of people I once used to talk have obviously left LJ. I hate the whole growing apart bull...but that seems to be a natural part of life as much as anything else. Most are going to Myspace but seriously I hate that site and so does my computer.
Got to go. Later
