T Minus 25...

My uncle's wake and mass were PACKED. There were so many flowers that people sensitive to plants couldn't stay in the main room for long periods of time. A non-stop stream of people from all over NE Illinois came to pay respects, and additional areas had to be used to accomidate. Family from all over the states, big name politicians, policemen and union members; it was dizzying. And each one of them loved him. Hell, still love him.
Every person that entered had 2 types of stories. How he was a prankster and a jokster that always made sure that the mood was light, and how he was the most dedicated person they've ever known that could get anything you threw at him done. They were right. You put him into any situation and it wasn't a question if he could do it; it was if he could get it done in under 5 minutes or not.
I came home last night Exhausted. Sorry, I didn't make Mid-Winter, this took priority. I'm glad my aunt and cousin were smiling by the time I had to leave yesterday. Rest in Peace Uncle Gary. No-one's going to fill your shoes any time soon.
