Arrival: Kalirakh Lunari
Hello, its been a while since I posted in this LJ O_o

But today I'll be updating with Kali's arrival! Finally! She arrived on the 3rd April. She is a long awaited, long planned character of mine. She was third persona after Rathi. But compared to Galad, Kali wasn't hard to match a face with.. so it was just the waiting.. no angst involved. While Galad... T_T;;
Anywho.. here's Kali's background story..
Kalirakh Lunari, of the Lunari House
She is of the Faefolk, a cross between imps and fairies, as she is quite short as an imp, but unlike imps she is endowed with a pair of fairy-like wings.
Kali's History
When she just turned 25, an age ripe for marriage or gaining a Master title in any craft, Kali was taken by slavers, cruel creatures who took slaves to work in their mines or camps, for all the Tr'goks are mercenaries and loves to war, kill and loot.
Kali was subjected to mutilations as the Tr'goks wanted all the slaves to work harder, her eyes were taken out and she was given eyes from a wild animal that can see clearly in the dark. Her wings were torn out and she was branded and collared so that she was easily chained when the slaves were allowed some little rest.
In the mines and camps, all the slaves worked at all times, with very little rest, food and water. Some died from this deprivations but Kali was a Faefolk who can live from the earth, take strength from the sun and all living creatures lifeforce.
After many many years, Kali was finally able to escape.. she ran as far as she could until she was almost at her home, the Clonce Woods, when she saw herself in a mirror of a villager's home as she stole something to eat. She was horrified and screamed and screamed, without realising she did. The home owner found Kali curled up in the fireplace, staring into space, and cared for Kali.
Rathi, the homeowner, discovered and tended Kali's many injuries and scars. She was able to reduce the worst of the scars until the only noticable scars were her wings scars and faint scars all over her body. Although she is now healthy, unfortunately Kali wouldn't or couldn't speak anymore, but she was willing to live with the rest of the house occupants..
Now.. first impression thoughts.. also feel free to skip ^^;; (resin comparison photo also)
First thought... she's green!!
Second thought.. I love her MNF body!
The KD Ani head combined with the MNF girl body was good porpotions-wise, Ani face is smaller compared to the other Kid Delfs.
I love her posability, even though she creaks like a mad old lady... she's really strung tight! (I almost died restringing her after giving her a faceup XD)
Mostly I love how different she is compared to Rathi.. and I like some variety in my dolls. Rathi's body looks chubbyish next to her! Kali's so slim and delicate.. (That's it, I'm getting Rathi that new SoulKid girl body! =P)
In conclusion, even though she is green, i love her so much already.. won't trade her for anything.. Glad Kali is finally final and home!

As you can see she is a little green. My fav skintone is Alitos' but I know he can be much whiter and more perfect for his vampireness, so he'll be coming back later in Milky white skintone. Hopefully its his final final reincarnation.
Just to talk a bit more on the skintones, from Left: Rathi (2005 edition Basic Kit LF Dana) I think she looks the same since she arrived. No noticable yellowing. Ash (2006 edition LatiGreen Lea) on the other hand has yellowed noticably. And he's a bit dirty... I haven't given him a bath. Kali (2007 WhiteSkin Ani MNF hybrid) and Alitos (2004/5 edition RoseWhite skintone limited Soulmate Ren).

I might be redoing her faceup for a neater look but with the same shapes.. then I'll be making her a fairy-ish dress, get her wings and make 2 robes for 2 big guys that I'll be borrowing from phoenixlancer or SephXIII for Kali's "Capture" photoshoot. Then there's the "Torture" photoshoot and finally her "Arrival" photoshoot where Rathi discovers her. And you'll see a totally different Kali, with a dark look.. and she'll be my gothling~ XD
