This expedition will raise funds for Seeing is Believing, a StandChart Bank initiative to fund doctors operating on children with curable blindness, and keyboard for kids, which is aiming to distribute refurbished PC in Indonesia.

Significance: This expedition will accomplish the first crossing in modern times of the strait separating Singapore and Indonesia aboard an outrigger canoe. It will raise money and awareness of 'Seeing is Believing", a charity sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank that pays for eye operations for indigent patients around the region.
Objective: The expedition is also raising awareness of, and collecting used computers for, 'Keyboards for Kids', a chrity that places used computers into Indonesian schools. Last, but not least, the expedition marks the start of an exciting new sport in Singapore: Outrigger Canoeing (perfect x-crosstraining for dragonboaters!)
