Cheer up Buttercup!
Just did my taxes. The downside to this cushy work-from-home arrangement is that I'm contracting, which means no 1040EZ and no taxes taken out invisibly from each paycheck. Oh well, a small price to pay for not wasting 20 hours a week of my life just going from point A to point B.
So! Now that that's over, I'm gonna share some things that make me happy.
-- the ending theme from Shin Chan
-- those lazyass cinnamon rolls I posted the recipe for a few days ago
-- pretty, squishy Noro yarn (currently making a short-sleeved sweater out of Silk Garden and Retro)
-- okay, pretty much all yarn that isn't ribbonny or fun fur
-- the way my cat curls himself up into a tiny stripey gray kittyball when he sleeps (like right now)
-- Your Song and Come What May from Moulin Rouge
-- the colors we painted the living room
-- smoked cheese
-- warmer weather
-- the hot dog restaurant near me that keeps coming up with new specials
-- once in a very great while, AngryCat will sit on me of her own accord and purr, almost like she's a normal cat
-- the Ahabs Coffee mug a certain someone sent me (I drink my morning latte out of it!)
-- Ninja cat
-- Maru!
-- strawberry crepes from the crepe shop in Old Town
-- the smell of orange blossoms
-- lapsang souchong (smoked tea)
