Two little Chinese movies that I was able to find on the internet, after having seen them last over about maybe ten years at least on VHS in China. I didn't understand any of the story half the time since back then I didn't watch it subtitled and didn't know Chinese. Now I still don't know Chinese but hey, there are subtitles!

Yeah, I find a lot of these older Chinese animations to be more impressive than Japanese animation too xD;;; Though, that's mostly because Japan relied/relies on limited animation a lot. Chinese studios seemed to be a little more experimental, but then they focused mostly on shorts, and I don't really know what's going on over there now >o>;;
Yeah, guess my dad counts as one of those older people ^^; or rather, he's from the generation right after all that stuff happened? Me thinks...

we totally abused those tapes |D. We HAD the monkey king one but i think my older sis watched it til its last breath before I could remember any of it (well that is until I started watching the video you posted XD) but the other two still work o_o
