Check it out, Chinese Animation

Two little Chinese movies that I was able to find on the internet, after having seen them last over about maybe ten years at least on VHS in China. I didn't understand any of the story half the time since back then I didn't watch it subtitled and didn't know Chinese. Now I still don't know Chinese but hey, there are subtitles!

I don't know if it was the same one, but I did see an short animation in an ink painting kind of style involving tadpoles looking for their mother? And a bunch of stop motion types with paper cutouts, or all sorts of stuff.

Yeah, I find a lot of these older Chinese animations to be more impressive than Japanese animation too xD;;; Though, that's mostly because Japan relied/relies on limited animation a lot. Chinese studios seemed to be a little more experimental, but then they focused mostly on shorts, and I don't really know what's going on over there now >o>;;

Yeah, guess my dad counts as one of those older people ^^; or rather, he's from the generation right after all that stuff happened? Me thinks...

OMG! NEZHA!!!! THAT'S LIKE MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD FILM EVER! (along with the last unicorn and totoro) We still have that (chinese with chinese subs |D; ) Oh yes!! We have that tape too! The one with the tadpoles. There was another story short with a boy and his ox, three monks, another boy who poses as a deer and gets shot and saved with magical tears, and Did you see the one with FireChild? The boy who swallows fire and is like SO INCREDIBLY sad? (yeah i'm just totally flipping out over these xD I LOVE them)

I don't even know if chinese really do animation like they used to anymore >.>;....

Aw man, I don't really remember a lot of them, there's a lot of blur in my head ^^;

Well, I do vaguely remember one about a porcupine and a watermelon.
