DC is losing me...

Even an intriguing Batman development isn't hooking me the way Marvel is. I picked up She-Hulk #1 on a lark and... it is so... FUN! DC just isn't anymore. There are some decent stories. There are some intriguing developments. But even the best stuff they're putting out doesn't have me on the edge of my seat, counting down the days to the next issue ( Read more... )

I haven't read X-Men since the Claremont era. I quit when they were in the Outback, at a point when every issue an X-Man either died, returned to life, left the team, or joined it. I think Rogue had just come back from her jaunt through the Siege Perilous when I gave up.

I agree with you about the 'no reboot per se'.

BTW, Spoiler just came back today in Batman 28. (One of those intriguing developments). I do miss Oracle. Not really a Super/TT fan, so Kon isn't really a thing for me, but I can sympathize.

At this point, my future with DC hinges on the fate of NW. If he continues to appear regularly in a DC title, I will keep that title and, while I'm probably going to be trimming a lot of my subscriptions, I'll still keep a few DC books. Snyder's Batman is still decent. But if Dick dies/goes into limbo/gets regressed to infancy, sent to the 31st century and adopted by the LOSH... I'm out. I'm gone. I'm sticking with Marvel and indies until someone I trust tells me that DC is fun again. And I'm sure one day it will be, unless they end up going under. But I'm sick of waiting.
