Got an email from college today

Co-op coordinator asking if I'd like a posting this summer. Which basically means don't show up for most of my summer classes, get the assignments done on my own time, and have an "officially approved" work posting.

Sigh. After all the stress I went through in the fall term when I didn't have a work assignment, I... can't have a good feeling about this. Even if the posting itself looks like something I can do. The only way I can consider it is if they'll let me take a reduced courseload this summer.

It's not worth the aggravation.

Especially since I'm enjoying the editing work I set up myself. And the school is (so far) okay with it. I am a bit worried that it might not end up being enough hours, but I love it anyway.

We shall see. I'm just at a point where I'm torn. I care about doing well at anything I set my mind to. Parents are loaning me the tuition right now, and I mean to pay it back when I'm making money. I want to do well. I care about grades... even though I know that after a year or so in the workforce, nobody else will. But if I try to juggle a work assignment with classes, I am going to suffer academically, and I do care. Not only do I care... I care enough that the workload will stress me out, and I don't want that.

Well, let's see what the coordinator says about my request for a reduced workload.

all about me
