I am now on non-working notice
It finally happened. Ok. For those of you who don't know, my job is drawing to a close. Tomorrow would have been my last day, but I have college orientation then so it was today. I'm not bitter, I'm not upset. Basically, Citi has sold the MasterCard portfolio to CIBC. They put it on the market 3 years ago, made the deal last year, and I've known since then that my job was ending. Hence the decision to go back to school.
But damnit, I've been there for 13 years and I'd be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear when I walked out.
One door closes, another opens. I know what I'm doing for the next year, and I'm really not miserable over this. Just... wow. It's over. New chapter starts tomorrow, but for tonight? Yeah, I'm feeling down.
