Conflict
How is it that I think snowflakes are very very cool... and I hate snow? I'm so confused...
So we had a small gathering last night, we were visited by uofirob, hawkshadow, oneleggedman and trollbrian. axegrrl came for company but didn't actually play, and kittykatkatja was present but working, and ladysilverlark was present but not feeling well even before I induced an asthma attack. (whoops). sisyphusx was not able to make it as he's still in the hospital for observation after some as-yet-undefined circulation issues. Jeff, we'd come visit you if you didn't keep insisting on driving 45 minutes north to Condell instead of going to a LOCAL hospital, punk. :)
Rob had dinner with us, and then he and I played some games of Eve CCG with the starter decks (he solidly won twice in a row, so not fair heh) while Brian, Noel, Mark and Barry played a game of Dead Money (?), the newest from cheapass games, it's a zombie poker game or somesuch. Afterwards we had some nice conversation (largely about my sordid past), then Rob Mark and Ananda took off and the rest of us played Tikal, which I don't get to play often as Jeff thinks it takes too long between turns. I had fun, came in second, thought I was going to pull off the win but Brian pulled off some sweet placements and zoooooomed ahead of me in the final scoring round.
Random: Chosen Homeless, my bro-in-law's band, is performing again on September 16th. You should all go see him, since I can't make it (we're having a garage sale that weekend).
