I failed to wake up at 4am this morning in order to observe the centennial phenomenon of seeing the time be 04:05:06 07/08/09. Of course, I had really wanted to see it, I suppose I would have actually set the alarm or something like that. I was awake when it occurred at GMT. Does that count?

This weekend, I did not make as much progress on the gatehouse as I would have liked (so what else is new?). Sunday, the walls got a double coat of primer, the trim boards are ready to paint, and I have started the layout of the rafters where they connect to the main frame of the gatehouse. It occurred to me on the way to work as I passed by the Justice Monolith that there is a remote possiblity that ISSUES guy may not actually be complaining that he (or someone he knows) was ill-served by the court system. All aspects of this were inevitable.... I am surprised by how offended some people are, but it isn't over the issue of should we, but who will pay for it? All the tangential stuff looks the same as before. dreadbaron correctly predicted the invocation of Bonewitz's Law, though. It happened much more quickly than I expected.
