I had hoped to keep a standard of at least eight pages of material for each newsletter, but I was only able to achieve seven pages for July. At least there is content and not a lot of moderately meaningless graphics. All that is left is to convert it to PDF format and distribute it to the membership.

Do You Want Me to Fix It?

My wife spent an inordinate amount of time raising my blood pressure by giving an elaborate and overly detailed account of some issues that would be much less likely had the folks involved actually understood software engineering. As a large portion of my job involves training people on this subject area, having to listen to an account of basic missteps and covering up those missteps was highly aggravating.

Invader Fu

I caught Kiera trying to usurp Ælfgifu's new comfy spot on the rocking chair. I suppose it is somewhat fair because the fleecy robe that serves as a cat bed there is what Kiera used to drag around the house all the time. I should have thought of that when I set the chair up as a kitty cozy spot.

Normality is 1:1

My sweetie had the day off yesterday and took the opportunity to retrieve our repaired vehicle from the shop. She is delighted to have her commuter vehicle back.

Procrastinating Is Over

My workshop has a loft area that I have been planning to turn into a place for my model railroad activities...for the past decade. Alas, a plethora of "higher priorities" allowed me to procrastinate. The most I've done has been to remove all the clutter from up there and move plywood up for the flooring (though, I may have to re-consider what materials I should have used). My sweetie has been pushing me to do something about it recently--it is a somewhat subtle decluttering hint, I think. I had vague ideas that I could do it all myself, but that isn't realistic. However, something happened that will allow me to move forward on the project and I get to help somebody out in the process--which adds some incentive to get the thing rolling.

Now I have to get serious and start on the real layout planning. Getting the room prepared is merely the second step. The first step is the budget. 8^P
