I think I have too much change in my life right now. Switching over from my foreign assignment to working in the US again was a big change, but now there are a lot more things going on that I had anticipated coming home to. Priorities are shifting (seemingly at random), but things keep rolling forward. Its going to be a bit of a struggle for me to keep on top of it near term.
The cats are a little wigged out because some new-to-us stuff has come into the house--a bit unplanned on our part, but welcome, nonetheless. My great-grandmother's old steamer trunk has found its way into our sitting room and I now have to figure out how to work it into our decor. Storage vs. display? It doesn't quite match up to our vision of having Mission style furniture, but at least its color is in the same family as the furniture we have, and it is about the right era. A little refurbishment and cleaning is in order, too.
And For My Next Trick...
The front lawn is mowed, but I suspect the second battery we have for the lawnmower has had an Epic Failure. We've had the thing less than a year, but the battery won't charge--I am feeling a need to write a nasty letter to Duracell about that. I'm not sure when I will get around to mowing the back and side yards--the predicted thunderstorms may postpone further yardwork to next week. Suits me just fine.....

Ignatius has a nice clean bathmat to nermal on. Our tubby tabby missed his chance to be First! to indulge in a leisurely nermal on the bathmat. Josie trotted in and plopped down on it when
ealdthryth placed it on the floor fresh-from-the-dryer. That's OK. Ignatius revelled in it this morning..... I really missed watching the kitties' antics while I was overseas.
