to anyone in Knoxville or wanting to move to Knoxville!!
the company I work for is looking for 2 to 4 more full time permanent long-term employees. if you're looking for stable work at a great company, email me your resume and I'll print it for my boss to call you for an interview! use email addy jennifer.vanderloop@reportsinc.com so I can print it out from my work computer.
starting salary is $8-9/hour depending on experience.
call center and/or medical office experience are preferred and will bump you towards the higher starting pay. also, if you have any computer/networking/tech support type experience or management experience be sure to list that too as I know she looks for that. be sure to include at least 3-4 good references because she does call on those, and stable/long work history is a big plus.
job description:
outbound calling for medical collections. there is also some inbound call answering as you become comfortable with our system. 99% of our clients are medical providers for past due doctor/hospital bills. our goal is get people on the phone and then convince people to make payment arrangements, even if it's a small amount monthly. we always try to work with people and give them the opportunity to get a debt taken care of. we have criteria that accounts must meet to be deemed "sueable" but we do not ever sue an acct that is current on their promised payments. unlike many god-awful agencies you hear nightmare stories about, we strive to treat people civily and respectfully and with sympathy and we are allowed to and encouraged to hang up on people who are cursing and being verbally abusive to us rather than snip back at them. all our calls are recorded so that we have proof of any threats etc that may come our way, and everyone uses an alias so people can't find us in the phone book. it's a very family-friendly company, and the bosses are very understanding about time off, even unpaid time off, when it comes to family emergencies, car trouble, etc. and I've seen them bend over backwards trying to work with us to fit our needs for scheduling doctor appointments, school schedules, etc. overall, it's a relatively high stress job but a very low stress workplace, so it balances out nicely. everyone is laid back and friendly and we're all a big family basically. I've been there going on 5 years now, and though people have come and gone, I've never seen anyone leave on bad terms, and I've never yet seen them fire anyone. in fact, several former employees have come back over the years to work for us again part time because they missed the company or needed a little extra, and a lot of them still show up at our Christmas parties and such to say hey. the bosses really appreciate a high work ethic and work very hard to earn company loyalty. they are really the best bosses and company I've ever worked for in my life. right now we just need a few more good reliable hard-working people who are in it for the long haul. we are understaffed right now, so if you're even curious to check it out drop me your resume and at least come in for an interview and see what you think! we could REALLY use the help!
benefits:
annual paid days off: New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Black Friday, and Christmas Day.
vacation time: vacation time is accrued based on actual hours worked. it basically comes out to 1 week paid a year from day 1, elligible to begin taking paid time off after your 90 days is up (if I understand the new system right) and 2 weeks paid per year after you reach the 5 year mark.
insurance: insurance is provided and available, has limited vision, no dental, and I do not believe life ins is offered either but that may have changed. because we have less than 20 employees it's pricey, especially for family coverage, but it's good insurance and covers a lot w/ a relatively low deductible/out of pocket compared to a lot of plans I've seen. the company pays 80% of the premium if I recall right. currently I believe it is still w/ United Healthcare.
bonuses and quotas: currently quotas are being reevaluated, so none of us are really sure on that right now, but they do offer bonus incentives like bonus P.T.O., gift cards, free lunches, etc. we also get a Christmas bonus each year, dependent upon performance, reliability, company profits, and senority. generally it's low for new employees and as you prove yourself you start to see a little more each year.
