“Hey, Sol! Wait up! “ yelled Darrien as he increased his stride to catch her in the hall outside the apprentice dormitory.
Solona Amell sighed, already knowing what he would say. She reluctantly slowed to allow Darrien to come abreast of her.
“Cullen’s on duty in the library tonight. Let’s give him the old eyeful,” he suggested gleefully.
“Not tonight, Darrien,” Solona replied. “I have studying to do.”
Ever since that night weeks ago when she had been given to Ser Tarin by the Knight-Commander, the old games just didn’t mean anything to her. The only thing she wanted was to find some way to be with her Templar once more. She hadn’t been able to stop thinking about him. Her body craved his touch and no one else would do, certainly not the insipid little male mages that she had slept with and serviced before. No, none of them had the strength and power to control her as her Templar did. Her body grew wet just at the thought of him, and she had masturbated in her bed countless times imagining his hands on her body as the memories of that night replayed in her mind.
Solona knew she was an extremely talented mage. She had been told that repeatedly since coming to the Tower. However, once she had turned twelve, she had been too busy trying to survive in the apprentice quarters, and she hadn’t had the time to really apply herself to her lessons. The past year or so, she had been lazy and had spent more time in teasing the Templars than in study. Solona knew that harrowed mages had many more freedoms than the apprentices did. She also knew that Ser Tarin’s normal duty station was in the upper parts of the Tower. These facts had spurred her on in preparing herself for her Harrowing. The added freedoms and fact that she would be living closer to the Templar quarters would surely allow her more opportunity to come into contact with him. As such, Solona threw herself wholeheartedly into her studies, and she knew her tutors were pleased. She was hoping to soon be called by the Knight-Commander and First Enchanter for her test.
