Not at all, it is a legitimate concern. Particularly when one considers the fact that Commander von Karma placed Commander Edgeworth in charge in absence of both herself and the captain.

In light of this, Grumman overturning her orders and assuming command is... unexpected, to say the least.

He does have a point though: he is higher ranked and has a good record. Personally I think they are both capable... but if they issue conflicting orders there could be trouble.

He is from the military though and not the navy. As much as you look at it, they're not entirely similar, but...

True. But what I still find more troubling about this is the fact that he's undermining the authority of the First Mate by doing this. It is not merely Commander Edgeworth's authority he is threatening, but the chain of command of the ship itself.

Suffice it to say, more than conflicting orders, I fear for what will happen when the First Mate hears of this...
