yaaaaay - still life finished. I'm not entirely happy with the flowers, but it will do. The lace doesn't look quite as nice close up....

A semi-class review, semi-glee moment that I'm actually getting things done!

Today I leaned into the wind as it roared down University and it would have probably held me up. Then it reversed direction and I was suddenly running down the sidewalk as it pushed me forward. That's the way to get to class on time (not that I have class on Friday...).

I've been mostly working ... there has been of ton of paintwork to sand and repair (and re-sand, and re-sand again, and discover new cracks, and repair, and re-sand) which has been time-consuming but rewarding. I'm hoping before the end of break I'll be able to buy a length of fiberglass from the huge roll in the back and do some artsy projects ( Read more... )

I officially don't like painting. I feel kind of bad saying it, since it is Dad's shop and everything and he puts a lot of time and effort into keeping it going... but I would much rather be earning money in a bookstore than painting the rafters in the parts department (which looked completely fine in the first place! argh ( Read more... )
