First off - congrats to all the musical folks! Amazing job everybody, you all deserved that standing ovation.
.... I can't believe how much I miss it.
Two horrible truths came to me during the show: that there will always be closing nights, and that I'll probably never see another one. There are tens of thousands of professional musicians out there, all vying for a place in pit orchestras - especially the good ones, and when it comes to the final call I'm not going to be in that line.
