(no subject)
Since July-ish, Luke has inexplicably been calling one of my best friends "mom". Don't know how it started. We didn't encourage it because honestly it made outings a bit awkward and Assumptions have been made by many a park-goer, cashier and Cast/Team Member. We also didn't DISCOURAGE it because that makes him dig into it more. So pretty much we acknowledged that that was a name choice he was making and moved on.
She and I have also, due to our third party in our trio of insanity being frequently indisposed, been hanging out more on our own (with Luke) more often in the past few months.
Last weekend the whole gang got back together (like NORMAL, thank God). And Luke was suddenly back to calling her by her given name. I mentioned it out of ear shot of him and she'd noticed it too. "Little sad..."
Then Sunday the rest of our group abandoned us in favor of their house. And suddenly it was "mom and Mimom" (pronounced My Mom, like from Home) again.
We're weird but hey.
