Seriously, what's up with the fucking hardcore scene? It hella sucks. I just went to two hardcore shows in two days. Damn. I swear, hardcore is a fucking bastardization of metal, and it sucks hardcore. Okay, so really the music is okay. I've come across some I like. But the fans Omigod the hardcore scene kids are such fucking... Blech! I don't know where xcore dancing came from, but whoever started it should be shot. It's so lame, and people should mosh damnit!
So, tonite, Sandra and I were supposed to go see Morningwood at the Boardwalk. We got there and it was hella packed and the line was hella long and it was raining outside. So we had Andi see who was playing at club retro. The internet said it was "Chaotic/Metal Night" So we were like "ooh! Metal! There will be moshing and funness!" And it was cheaper. So, we hopped into the car and went over to club retro. We got there, and paid ten dollars for VIP ticks (so we could get into the spiffy little upstairs lounge. >XD) Only to find out that every single band that had been on the bill had canceled, and a whole bunch of xcore bands were filling in. So yeah, it was all xcore dancing and no moshing and it sucked so hard. The only upside was the opening band (In Black September) had a really hot singer. He signed my pants. =^^= I asked the lead singer of At Dawn to sign my pants, but he told me that was wierd, and he wouldn't do it. And his girlfriend gave me a dirty look. Jerkoffs. Therefor, I am shunning that band. Everyone should join me in shunning At Dawn, because their lead singer is a jerkoff.
So yeah. After two hardcore shows in a row, I am really longing for a punk show to go to. Because the punk scene is hella nicer, and more fun, and doesn't beat the crap out of you while "dancing", doesn't kick you in the ribs, doesn't tell you it's wierd to want their signature, and the fans are much nicer and not nearly as snobby as the xcore kids. Blech.
