But I don't want to. Because who would want to sleep when they can waste their time in cyberspace? It's like a whole new way to waste time. You never even have to leave the house. You just sit there in front of your computer screen, and it's like you can go anywhere in the world. I wonder how long it will be before our whole lives are virtual. People will never even leave their homes, they'll just sit in front of their computers, and live virtual lives. Like Amko. XD. Seriously though. Is that where we're headed? Everything is digitized, virtualized, microsized. Like those I-Pod Nanos. Those things are fucking tiny but they hold like a gajillion songs. Man, I remember when we had fucking tape players when you carried around these bulky cartridges that you had to cue up to listen to a certain song. Before you could carry your whole music library around in a tiny thing about the size of one cassete tape. Smaller even. God. I remember my first CD player. I thought it was amazing because I could choose the songs I listened to. I didn't have to search for them on a cassette tape. I didn't have many CDs at first. classical type stuff and whatnot. But I soon amassed a giant music library. And now, now I can fit a whole bunch of songs onto my camera, which is also a video camera, voice recorder, MP3 player, and webcam. Because everything is getting smaller and more multifunctional. It's crazy. I was at Best Buy the other day, and I saw, get this, a refrigerator with a T.V. built in. How crazy is that? A fucking LCD panel T.V. in the door of the fridge. It even had connections so you could hook it up to a vcr or dvd player. who needs a fucking tv in their fridge, I ask you? Americans do, apparently. Because we are a nation that is obsessed with our kitchens, and the food we keep in them. God, I bet we would live in our kitchens if we could. Hell, I'm in my kitchen right now. sitting at this little table and typing away at my laptop. All I need is a TV to blare away in the fridge behind me, and I'll be set.
