Um...most of those questions can be answered in one word: PAWS. ^_^ Trust me, exploring all the nooks and crannies of PAWS is like...a really good idea. I don't know how any U of S student ever survived before they had it.
Also, I have a question for you: wanna join the ballroom dancing club with me? ^_^

absolutely! that would be fun. do you have any idea when, where, etc? are you going to orientation?

Umm...last year registration was like...a week or so after orientation. They'll probably have fliers up. We gotta get there early, though, 'cause it fills up fast. And I'll probably be at the University during Orientation, but mostly just to get settled into my dorm room and go looking for my classrooms. And maybe go see that play if they put it on again. ^_^ I'm not planning on doing the whole Orientation-welcome-thing again.

If UofS is anything like BU, you need to have your first term tuition/board paid the first day of classes. Christine and I went to Financial Services a half hour before it opened (and before Orientation) to pay. I'm paying for a lot of my education through student loans, but they take aaaages to go through, and I was out of food money before it came through. I sent my tuition cheque at the beginning of the month ( ... )

I think tuition needs to be payed by the end of september at US. and i've got a check coming from money my gandma put away for me that will handle pretty much all of it. its good.
i'm also not staying in rez, but with my aunt, so thats something else i dont have to worry about too much, but i'll prolly still have to do my own laundry.
thanks for the list of usefull things to bring to Uni... i dont really like laptops that much either, but for some reason they tend to be nessesary...

did you do seperate notebooks for each class, or have one huge notebook with devisions? which do you think would be perferable?

pretty much i need/want to know EVERYTHING about uni... i know nothing! i have no idea what i am getting myself into. :P

ps, yes that was long.

I used separate notebooks for each class. Some of them didn't use a lot of pages, while others used an entire notebook. It might be worth it to see how your prof does his lectures before deciding for sure how you keep your notes. You could write them in notebooks, or use looseleaf and binders/folders/etc.

Make sure to read your text before class. It's so much easier to understand where your prof is coming from, and what you *really* need to take notes on.

I'll write more later. Time for swimming.
