I'm back, but only for one entry...

So, I am back for a short (ha, maybe, maybe not) rant about closets. You know which ones I am talking about. Walk-ins closets. When you have them you think they are so big, and then you try to fit all your clothes in them and the door flies off because you have too much...

just kidding... ( rant on.... )

human nature, rant, politics

So...yeah, I'm way out of the news loop. >.>

About it being Christianity's fault that AIDS is so widespread by suppressing gays is, as I see it, is...off. ANY group that is trying to build it's population will encourage heterosexual behavior and condemn homosexuals. Once a norm of disliking a group has been set, it takes a lot of effort to change the way people have been raised to think.

You may have seen of this in Japan. Some gay guys have girlfriends simply so they can uphold the appearance of being "acceptable," then go to gay clubs to meet other gays. Are you willing to argue that it's Christianity's fault Japanese people ostracize homosexuals and therefore cause the spread of AIDS?

I can understand where you're coming from, but blaming this all on Christianity is a bit much. The US never separated church and state, so the church is used to do the state's dirty work at times. Being a system of ideas, religion is malleable (or there probably would never have been any Crusades nor any al-Qaeda); all you have to do is find scriptural text to "support" your ideas. Since the survivalist tradition to reproduce never really faded, it's much easier to twist what is written into something a person believe outside of what's actually written in their religious text.

And as I said in the entry, (tabun hakkiri ja nai keredomo...) I am not blaming Christianity for all of this. It came out first, but that is the way I speak, and think. I say what I will say, and then make clarifications on the parts that people do not understand because of the way I think. The VERY next phrase, says something to the extent of jk, but what I meant to clarify, and didnt, is that it is true that it is not Christianity, but more of the ideals that Christianity has come to represent in my mind that have caused AIDS to be as wide-spread. In my mind, Christianity is responsible, at least in America, for the wide-spread closed-mindedness and conservativism that has continued to keep gays and other ostracized different people in the closet. The people who think it is better not to know, and to maintain a norm. I know, maybe more than people think I do, that blaming all of Christianity includes some branches and individuals who do not hold these same ideas, however, it is getting to a point, at least in my mind, (and this may be affected by mood and Junni Kokki which is a tsubarashii anime, kedo, sensou ga atta kara, ou wa mondai ga atta. soshite, hitobito wa think they can do nothing, and be okay to iu kangae.) And I never meant to imply that no other religion does it, because they all do. Which is so funny at least in the homosexual's case, because it shows that we have been around forever! mwah ha ha... (I mean hell, Apollo and Zeus were both bi too. AND it was acceptable then.) Christianity has become the medium for this conservative movement, and I am blaming all of Christianity, because they all know it is happening, and people are turning a blind eye. That is what people do. We are all cowards and turn a blind eye to someone else suffering, and the people who do not, are either considered too soft or naive, or stupid, or killed. Some are worshipped, (ie ghandi, mother theresa)

anyway, probably still not clear what I meant, and mean, but then it is not always clear to me either, and I do not always use the correct words to say what I mean anyway...

and along with the blaming all christianity thing, I am not just blaming them either,

I blame myself too, because I am doing nothing, I am not aiming blame at any one group... But my want for blame is ONLY coming from my being pissed, because in all honesty, blame does NOT matter, what matters is the whether someone makes an effort to change it.
