I went and visited my dentist on Saturday for the first time in about two years. I've had them cleaned since then (in Feb 07 right before the dentist left station, and again in October, right before I left, but that was by Mel, the nurse practitioner (or some similar title that I can't remember), but I was a bit worried that I would go in and get told that I would need to set up another appointment to have some fillings or other work done on them, which, as my budget is rather tight now, would be painful in more than one way. I was very happy to hear that although there are two teeth that I need to watch (they seem to have been de-mineralized at one point since I was last in and therefore are a bit weaker and more in need of careful scrubbing to keep plaque from building up on them), I won't need to come in again until six months from now for my next regular cleaning.
On a completely different note - as hot as it has been in Portland, I do not feel sympathy for any one who has been complaining about the heat outside, because I've been working in front of a bunch of burners or a hot grill with a couple of ovens on in the kitchen as well during the hottest part of the day for the last couple of days. Let's just say that today was rather warm and that I was rather damp for most of it.
