[fanmix] Trevelyan/Cullen: Steadfast
After playing through this romance, I had to make a mix for it because it was just adorable and hit all the right notes (haha) for me.
Spoilers for certain events in the romance; I picked songs based on game events and make reference to some in the selections/explanations.

This song is bubbly and just puts me in a good mood, thus fitting that laaaaarge block of game where it's like "this is just The Best".

"Cross My Heart" by Marianas Trench
And I do want to show you
I will run to you to you till I
Can't stand on my own anymore
I cross my heart and hope to die
So this is kind of for that scene after the "kick right in the feels" lyrium scene, where he sounds all surprised you'd stay with him. Oh, Cullen.

Once I thought my innocence was gone
Now I know that happiness goes on
That's where you found me
When you put your arms around me
I haven't been there for the longest time
Okay, so I love the hell out of this song. It gives me the warm fuzzies. Plus all the hot guys in choir in high school sang this, the game confirmed Cullen can sing, so clearly these two things go together. :D Plus that lyric right there, BAM right in the damn feels. <3

"Some Enchanted Evening" sung by Giorgio Tozzi

This is, like, the most romantic song ever. Ever. I almost picked "Shall We Dance," but I thought this fit the mood better. Giorgio Tozzi's voice just leaves me in a puddle.

Okay, so ... part of why I love this romance so much is that these two people who have to have the Outward Face of Stability on all the time can actually be vulnerable with each other. Vulnerable men are rare enough in video games, but for the hero to be so as well ... I just love it. If I had to pick one song to sum up this romance, this would be it.
