'(Full synopses to come later)'

Combat!

The party are ambushed by a group of Darkspawn. The Wardens kick way more arse than Maric.
We all lament the lack of a KungFu character in the Dragon Age games.
Fiona is amused by Maric (wait, what?).
Fiona seems to have a bucket load of spells available to her.
Maric shows some people skills, sort of, again.
There are lots of injuries all round, which can't all be healed, with Nicolas getting the worst of it.

Tune in next week for ... Dragon.

Kinda a big shift for Fiona there. It would have felt better is she hadn't been so actively hostile earlier on. It could have worked with her still being hostile, just less aggressive about it. She has issues with the King being there, but isn't about to set him on fire while he sleeps. I kinda mentally edit out her initial attitude when I look back on the book, which really isn't a good thing ( ... )

Also, my dreams of being the one to post the Serious/Snarky threads for every chapter have been dashed. I'll just be over here, holding the fragmented remains of my heart.

Oh woe. :)

(I need to get better about remembering to schedule these. It's like I think "these go up on Monday" and it comes Sunday night and EVERY TIME I'm like "....crap I need to do that tonight".)

Normally your post goes up right before I get home from work, so it works out for me. This week I was watching the time tick past and wondering how long I should wait before declaring you dead and seizing power.
