Not really a party banter, but there was one moment which, despite being very sad, made me laugh aloud. It happened in the Alienage after killing Huon (sp?). His wife was lying there on the ground, dead. I thought, maybe my party members have something to say about the situation, so I clicked on them. Hawke said some usual "Hawke this, Hawke that...", Anders was in the middle of calibration the Justice quest, and all he could talk about was getting the ingredients. But Varric and Merrill...

Varric: "What is that smell? I think someone's murdered an elf in the alley. Watch your step."

Merrill: "It's a pretty evening, don't you agree?"

I really need to click on the party members more often. I did during my first playthrough, but then some of them got locked into certain things...like Anders with his 'You've been a good friend' bit. *sigh*
