Geneva on the Lake 2012

At last, my first full week at Geneva-on-the-Lake had come to an end. It didn't go too quickly, and it absolutely didn't crawl by. It was just the right mix of much-needed relaxation and activity. Good drinks were had, good food was eaten, good company was enjoyed. Next year I will have a one-year old to keep a sharp eye on, and Steve plans on taking the whole week to enjoy vacation with his family.

Also, I put the bug in Mom's ear that I would like her to come down and enjoy the week with us as well. It's right around her birthday and I think she would have a ton of fun! We will have to see what lodging we are expecting next year to know what will be available for her.Ken is unlikely to get the whole week off, so I may end up going to get her and he would come pick her up later in the week sort of thing, but I would really like to make it work. I'm actually really excited to share the experience with her! There is so much I tell her about that I would like to show her instead.

Sunday's tradition, after cleaning the cottages and packing everything up, is to have breakfast bar at the lodge. It's a little on the expensive side at $13 a plate, but the food is good, and it's all you can eat in an open, friendly atmosphere. I did my best to eat enough to make it worth it, and I think I did a good enough job. We all parted ways, Steve and I took the scenic route back through Ashtabula...and then we were home.
