"My Skeletons, An apology" BJA, Green Day, T

Apr 27, 2010 11:39

Up on Fanfiction as Reid and the Covenant. Technically the next in the control series, but I don't feel like it really fits. Thus, here it is, a manipulation of real people for my amusement.

Title: My Skeletons, An apology
Fandom: GD
Pairing: Mike/Billie.
Rating: T / PG-13

Warning: Eating disorder, breaching OCD.

D/c: Real people. Not mine.

No summary. It's 185 words. Go read it.

I don't know what to say.

I had a buncha feelings building up and this poured out.
Then all of a sudden, the anxiety was gone.
It was wonderful.
I love writing...

Right now, I haven't slept. My mind is languid. I don't care about anything.
It's kinda nice. :)

Anywho, thought I'd throw this up under GD. It doesn't belong in the Covenant-verse. It just happened to follow the spiral of Control.

His fingers twitched against the fake black leather. His breath tightened, his heart hammered. He knew he shouldn't be reading this. He knew it was private, absolutely forbidden. But there was something about the way the pencil had pressed so hard against the pages that it left tiny holes, something about the heavy lines so unlike Billie's usual scrawl. Something so desperate was on this particular page, and Mike wouldn't feel right ignoring it.

He had to read it.

My skeletons

A written apology
Scrawls in a diary
For my eyes only
The guilt
The pain
The emotion
Hiding under the covers
Crying isn't an option
Fighting isn't working
Can't tell
Can't stop
Need help
Going crazy in my skin
Body feels too big
Can't fix it all
Have to change
Have to...
Blades don't fix it
Tweezers don't fix it
Teeth don't fix it
Nails break and can't scratch the itch
I'm scarred
I'm broken
I'm sorry
I cant tell you...

And before he could exhale his confusion, before he could swallow his nervous spit, he heard the soft voice ring behind him.

"Mikey?"

The original was just the poem, but if Billie was gonna write it, I wanted Mike to find it.

That is all.
