Title: War and Peace
Fandom: Green Day
Pairing: Jimmy/Christian
Rating: T / PG-13
Warning: Implied sex. Fighting. Oneshot.
A/n: I guess I'm moving backwards into the J/C universe. This was going to be called "The land of Make Believe", but I think I'll use that for a longer fic.
Words: 278.
D/c: Green Day owns Jimmy and Christian.
I feel cynical again.
The speech alternates between Jim and Christ.
The narration in this is how I used to write. I like it.
Enjoy.

“This isn’t the fucking movies, Christian. This is real life.”
All they did was fight.
“If this is real life, go do something useful.”
It was a wonder they could even stand to be around each other.
“Fuck you.”
The make-up sex must have been incredible.
“That’s all it ever is with you; sex, drugs, and violence.”
It was just a matter of time before this bomb exploded.
“Coming from Mr. ‘Lets-start-a-riot’!”
It would be nothing but scorched earth in their wake.
“Know what, Jim? I’m done. I don’t fucking need you anymore.”
But destruction follows a breakdown.
“How many times have you said that? How many times have you come crawling back?”
And silence follows the fires.
“Tell me you don’t need me here.”
And ashes swallow the tears.
“Tell me where you’d be without me.”
All battles must come to an end.
“... Same place as you.”
But as long as there is rage, there is war.
“Horny, angry, and alone?”
And the wars go into a remission.
“We’re all alone, Jimmy.”
But they never end,
“You can’t fight alone-”
Not really.
“Shut up, Jim. Let’s not do this again.”
Because even as the smoke clears,
“Then stay.”
The embers still burn.
“Why?”
And another breeze is all it will take to spark a flame.
“You need me as much as I need you.”
But for the moment, the air is still.
“Make it worth my while?”
Sometimes, that’s all it takes for a fight to be forgotten.
“Every second, Christian. Every second.”
But the rage never stops lurking under the peace facade.
“... Love is pain, Jimmy.”
And it’s only a matter of time...
“Then torture me.”

It took me many tries to find the perfect ending comments for the boys. I think I like what I chose.
I'm feeling really down right now, some nice feedback would be appreciated, but you know, not necessary.
