We have a situation

So my school is starting up an anime club. Which would be an okay thing, if it weren't for the fact that the people setting it up are literally the biggest weeaboos I have seen off DA. I'm talking akatsuki clouds sewn to shirts, hot topic goth loli clothes, my favourite animes are naruto and kingdom hearts, hair dyed rainbow colours weeaboo. Now, due to my inability to keep my head out of the business of others, I have devised two possible ways to approach this situation.

1) Infiltrate the club, win over the members by attempting to not be a confrontational bitch for once, casually suggest some good animes to watch that aren't Naruto, Bleach, FMA, Soul Eater, or Kuroshitsuji (I'm pretty sure things like TTGL, BakaTest, Code Geass and Higurashi would appeal to them) In an attempt to cultivate a new generation of anime fans, one that likes animes that are actually good, and don't advertise their fan status everywhere. And possibly meet cool people, that too.

or 2) Leave the club alone, have nothing to do with the club, if anyone asks 'Hurr Jessica have you joined the animu club yet?' Laugh it off and say I don't associate with crazy people.

I'm kiiind of leaning towards option one, but I need you guy's opinions, as I am terrible at making rational decisions on my own.
