(no subject)
I was going to post this ages ago and would like to post a link for those of you who did know my great-grandmother. I have a paper copy of her obituary, but it is still up online at the Laconia Citizen here for those who would like to see it. The picture used was one from years ago when she took a vacation to Hawai'i with my Aunt Pat. She was a wonderful woman; intelligent and caring and I miss her very much. I wish I'd had the chance to see her again before she died, but I at least got to talk to her a few times over the year before.
While it was good to see many of my family members again that I had not seen in years, the reason for our coming together was still a sad one. I also found out that a childhood friend of mine from back there died a little more than a year ago, which just added to the sadness. It has made me realize just how important family is to me (both blood and chosen) and how much I want one of my own as well. Trev and I are currently working to pay off debts, though not without some difficulty at times, and are hoping to start trying for our own come the end of the year.
