I thought these guys had disbanded after the 90's... although I guess they did; they just reformed again, apparently. Like in 2004 or something. This is their new single; it's pretty catchy, although I dunno if anything can top "Kitty" or "Volcano."

Should I get their new album, Valentine? Anyhoo...

Maybe you should. I only have their first album. Do you have their second?

I had a best of album with like 10 songs on it. I went and got this one, too, but I haven't listened to it all too much yet.

Evidently they came back in 2004 and played for John Kerry at one of his rallies. I was a little peeved at that until I remembered that everyone and their grandmother was supporting John Kerry over George W. Bush. Not that I think George W. Bush was the greatest president ever, but I don't think John Kerry would've been much better. They could've come up with a better third party candidate to support, or better yet, keep their politics out of their music. Anyhoo...

Politics and art generally go hand in hand. Without inspiration, there would be no art. We don't tell X-ian musicians to keep their religion out of their music. If you don't like it, you don't have to listen. Personally, I like Satanic Death Metal for the lyrics only. All hail the lord of the flies.

I like death metal too, when it's done by Less Than Jake.

I wouldn't have cared so much if they'd actually picked a politician who was GOOD. Like I said. They backed Kerry, who sucked. Maybe I'm putting words in their mouths, but it seemed like a lot of people simply voted for Kerry so that Bush would not get nominated again. They could've taken their star power and brought to light a politician who was actually good, and not just another shade of bullshit, but no. They gotta do the popular thing. Anyhoo...
