Julio and Ryan think I have mono becuase I'm always tired. I think it's because I stay up too late. Kaitlynn says it might be anemia. Who knows? But I don't have mono.
The New Orleans trip starts this saturday. I'm pretty excited. Tay and I are probably going to see my Uncle Greg around there. I just hope I wont be falling asleep all the time while I'm working there. Or pass out. That would suck.
Ryan, Michael, and I are going to play worship while we're there, so I'm really going to need to get guitar strings. But I didn't really need to tell you that. I was just filling space I guess. There isn't a whole lot to fill you in on. Summer's going alright. Not the best summer I've had, I'm afraid. I've been bored a lot. But school starts again on the 21st. And I'll probably start working by then. Not exactly sure where, though. I've been thinking about Home Depot.
I had this plan a while ago if Wallie, and Julio, and I rented a place together then I would build bunk beds and furniture. That would be pretty sweet. Of course I'd have to learn how to sand it and finish it and stuff, but I won't have to worry about that until later. I like building things. Jesus was a carpenter, you know. That's rad.
Like I posted before, I'm still having a bit of writers block. I want to write songs, but I don't know what I want to write songs about. What is there to write about? What do musicians write songs about? Love and loss? I think I've had my shot at that. Stories? I don't the imagination for that. (I think I might have smashed the creative cerebral cortex of my brain when I dove head first into the cement at MattStock.) There is worship...
That wouldnt be bad. I've tried that before, and even played a song once in youth group, but I didn't like it too much and never played it again. Then again, why are worship songs written? For God's glory. To worship Him, that's why. They arent written for the mere listening pleasure of others. It just turns out that people like to listen to them.
I did write one new song though. It's not a worship song, but it's one that I like to sing. I'll play it at the next MattStock if I have the privelege of playing again. Maybe someone will enjoy it. It's inspired by the beach, and that's all I will say.
Funny, I thought all I was going to write about was mono.
