A bunch of Pulp songs I uploaded for someone the other day:

Weeds
Weeds II (the origin of the species) (both of these are lovely)
The Trees (one of my least favourites from We Love Life, but whatever)
Sunrise (I am ambivalent really)
Razzmatazz (acoustic) (I love this. Feels a bit sadder than the album version.)

And also Set the Controls for the Heart of the Pelvis which is on TOTAL CRACK. It... basically the first line is "save me from my own hand" and it is smutty and arrogant and I kind of love it. Also, because this is Jarvis Cocker, there's random fear of household objects.

Meanwhile, here is a pretty cool poll about regional variations of the "Miss Mary had a steamboat" (and it WAS Miss Mary, what is all this Miss Suzie/Lucy nonsense? Americans are weird) and it has got me humming old clapping games to myself. Now I'm really curious about different versions of that Chinese bakery song (which is actually a tad racist in retrospect - not, like, Eeny Meeny Miny Moe racist, just in a thoughtless way) and the one about pop. You know, Coca Cola went to town, Diet Pepsi shot him down... I think Coke won in the end though. Clearly this was some weird form of propaganda.

Now you are going to say you have never heard of any of these songs and I will feel weird. And then type up the lyrics, because I may not remember basic mathematics but I do know that 7-Up caught the flu so now we're drinking Mountain Dew.

I should really go to bed but today was my day off and this resulted in me accidentally screwing up my sleep pattern and therefore I'm not tired in the slightest. Bleh.
