I have this baffling tendency to go into England matches thinking "lol they're going to be shit" and when they inevitably are shit I'm all disappointed. IDEK. The Germans played wonderfully though, and they don't even have anyone I hate since Ballack's not in it so I wouldn't mind them continuing to do well. Obviously Lampard's disallowed goal was bullshit but it's not like it mattered in the end anyway.
I do like Beckham as the unofficial team mascot though, I find it quite endearing. They should have him on the sidelines looking depressed next tournament too.
More importantly, this series of Doctor Who has been amazing and I'm actually looking forward to the Christmas special instead of dreading it. It's so nice to actually enjoy the show again. I adore Eleven and Amy to pieces (and Matt and Karen too, for that matter; Karen is my future wife and I don't care that we haven't actually, er, met) and the Moffat episodes have of course been especially fantastic. And anyone who follows me on Tumblr knows how much I loved the Van Gogh episode. (HINT: IT WAS A LOT.) AND THE FINALE WASN'T A DISAPPOINTMENT. IS THIS REAL LIFE??
