(no subject)
Hi all,
We survived the floods with no damage other than food going off due to lack of power. Water was a few streets away the whole time and I thank the gods for how fortunate we've been. Our entire street except for our house and the one directly opposite us evacuated as they were all 1 storey. We in the 2 storeys stayed to keep an eye on the rest of the neighbourhood. Glad to say we've had no looters here and most of the street moved back in on thursday and friday. I even mowed our backyard yesterday after asking our 80yo neighbour to show me how to start it and check the fuel level :) Hubby however was not impressed when he got home.
My thoughts have been those I know in the flood listed areas and I'm hoping you're all safe though probably not dry. If any help is needed anywhere please let me know and I'll do all I can for you. Feeling a little guilty at the moment for how well we fared when I know some of you didn't and am feeling useless sitting at home watching it on the tv knowing some of you don't have that luxury.
