(no subject)
I am suddenly really cranky today. On Saturday, February 14th, I ran errands. First I went to Sam’s Club to see the eye doctor to get new lenses and trial contacts. I was told they would be in within a week. As of today, I still hadn’t heard anything, so I call.
Sam’s: “Oh, your contacts are not in yet.”
Me: “What about the lenses I order for my glasses?”
Sam’s: “Lenses?..they need the information from your glasses to do that.”
Me: “Since I bought the frames there, they already had that information and just ordered them.”
Sam’s: “Who sat down with you and talked to you about them?”
Me: “No one. Since they already had the information from my frames, I didn’t need a consultation to order.”
Sam’s: “They didn’t even order them. Did you pay for them?”
Me: "Yes."
I had this conversation after I called Sears. On the same day, I took my broken pendent to Sears for repair. They told me at that time that they would send it out, I would get an estimate by Friday, February 20th, and should have it back by Tuesday, February 24th (yesterday). Having not heard even about and estimate yet, I called:
Sears: “We don’t even have a record of you in out log book. Let me call the jeweler and see what he can tell me. I will call you back. Your number is XXX-XXX-XXXX?”
Me: (Just a thought in my head.) “Obviously, you have a record of me if you have my phone number.”
Sears calls back.
Sears: “He’s not in today, but he is going to do an estimate and get back to me when he is.”
Me: “You realize I was supposed to have it back yesterday and he hasn’t even done an estimate yet?”
Sears: No comment.
Wow! I feel like I wasted that entire day running errands.
