Silly Things: Meez
Yes, yet another not sims thing... but I figured the people on this friends list would appreciate it more than over at my overly serious journal XD
Meez. Heard of them?
They're a little animated avatar you can create to represent yourself. I made one over a year ago for my Myspace & FlickR & promptly forgot about where I got it, or that I really even had it.
Tonight I finally caved in & got AIM. If you're feeling silly enough to add this insomniac of a little dragon, the usernamey thing is Draganin. If you add me though, let me know who you are please? That would make things far easier than trying to guess if you're some crazy random or a crazy friend XD
Anyway. AIM has this avatar teng, which I clicked due to the searching for something to take my mind off the evening spent at the international airport waving goodbye to a good friend who has no intention to ever return. Lo & behold, its a Meez. I fiddled with it for a while & it says it's 'sending Meez to AIM'.... no fracking idea where it went though. Still can't find it. I was thinking to myself, I remember making one of these once before & an animated version got sent to my photobucket. Why can't they do that with this?
[pause while cogs grind]

You work on the face, the hair, the body shape (lots of nice choices there) & theres skin colour, eye colour, hair colour, clothing (wow thats a list & a half) & then backgrounds & animation loops. The building isn't nearly as thorough as Sims 2 Bodyshop, but hey it's free & its cute & it's an internet avatar. Well, not all the items are free, but lots of them are, & you can sort by price, featured & other things. [grins]
My old one
When you hit Save, you are prompted for a name. Then it sends seven images to your photobucket account. Two animated gifs (175x233 & 300x400), two jpgs (175x260 & 300x400), & three avatar images (48px, 66px & 100px). The gifs don't save the entire animation loop, but they serve their purpose well enough.
I had fun remaking mine, even if I couldn't find the art studio background I used last time.
Thought I would share so you guys could play too =)
