First Pediatric Appointment

Isabella had her first Pediatric appointment wednesday. She still looked like she had a good bit of jaundice so he sent us to the lab for the billi test. It came back a little high so i'm now having to substitute 3 feedings a day with formula. He's rechecking her today. Hopefully we're doing a little better. formula does cause constipation. You will probably be told to put Karo syrup in her bottle if you are still bottle feeding

yeah i've heard that it does that... doctor said she looks better but sent us for more lab work to test..seeing as how it was so late in the day and friday I probably won't hear anything until monday..she is looking better though so i'm not worried.

they didn't say anything about what to do about her constipation, just said that it can happen.

When I told Aly's pediatrician that she was constipated she said to stand her up to give her gravity or push her knees up to her chest to give her more force and then see if she would work through it and then after time passed and she didn't she told me to put half a teaspoon of white karo syrup in each of her bottles. She isn't constipated any more. Well, I hope she's doing all good and whatnot.
