It has been a while since I last posted about anything here. Truth is - I've been spending more time on Facebook. I'm getting back in touch with a bunch of people that I haven't spoken to in a very long time. Things have been interesting here to say the least. So here's a little run down to bring everyone up to speed.
-I'm still working at a certain retail store part time (they don't like their employees making themselves known..but whatever..) and I'm having a good time actually, so it's not as much of a hardship as a retail job might be.
-My own business is doing reasonably well. What surprises me is that most people seem to be more open to having a communication session with their animal then they do a massage session. Of course, the drawback of having older dogs/horses as clients is that sometimes I get the call that the dog/horse had to be put down. When that happens - it's like I need to start all over again.
-Things with William are going well. I haven't been able to ride much due to the blizzard. In fact, the last time I was on board was in between blizzards. I hopped on and just plodded around the one arena with Jill (Meike's owner) and Jenny (Lakota's owner) for about 10 minutes. I did the one thing that I shouldn't have done - let him have his own way. Lakota exited the arena first, I wanted Wills to stop at the gate - he didn't (after giving him several cues). He walked on and stopped next to Lakota. I can hear my horsey people reading this screaming. Yeah - I know. He won't be getting away with that again (or at least - next time we stop much further away from the gate). I am glad to say that even though he is an older horse - he is still very robust and feisty.
-Hubby and I dodged a bullet. There was a possibility that we would be moving to Hawaii. He's been asked to leave the contract he's on - so he's been looking and applying for different contracts within the same company. One of those contracts are in Hawaii. So he applied for that one too. Luckily, a contract that he had applied for early on finally came through. So no moving for us (YAY!)
-My brother and I are crocheting yarmulkes for the congregation for our younger nephew's Bar Mitzvah in April. We need a total of 50 - 55, so it's easily doable. By the time I'm done - I'll be tired of crocheting in rounds, that's for sure. :-)
That's about it w/o taking up too much space.
Enjoy the weather folks!
