Round three with Cammy:

I had fun with this one, mostly because there were more colors to work with than the previous two. As they are all such a learning process, it was interesting to find out what colors mixed with others, to get the lighting just right. I still get excited when I get to that phase of the painting, and lately I have been trying to embellish more and more with the light-side colors. Although, when I took the photos, I used a red light bulb on one side of the model to see how it reacted to his skin and clothes. That was the hardest part, because not all colors have the same spectral properties, for example red shadows are not as easy to see as blue shadows. But a fun run none the less, and a good model. I knew my brother would give me something cool to work with since he's a hip-hop dance instructor. I likes my characters all posey. Doin' moves and shit.
